Type of industrial chillers (Base on condenser type)

The two major types of industrial chillers in use today, air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers.Both air-cooled and water-cooled chillers are mostly the same, the main difference is in how the refrigerant is cooled(Condenser is different).

  1. Air-cooled chillers use ambient air (thru a cooling fan) to cool the refrigerant in cooing condenser and are a stand-alone units do not require any additional equipment to function.Easier for install and maintain than water-cooled systems.
  2. The most common types of water-cooled chillers use water from an external tower to cool the refrigerant in the condenser. Water-cooled chillers are generally more efficient than air-cooled chillers.
  3. The air cooler chiller equipped with a cooling fan can run directly, water cooled chiller needs to install water tower and pump for operation.

Selection and Usage Notes
  • Air-cooled chillers are sensitive to ambient temperature; high temperatures reduce cooling performance and increase energy use, so proper ventilation is essential.
  • Fan noise ranges from 75 to 85 dB, so units should be installed outdoors, on rooftops, or in dedicated rooms to minimize noise impact.
  • High starting current, especially for 80HP models, requires adequate power supply and soft-start or star-delta starters.
  • Regular maintenance including coil cleaning, filter replacement, and refrigerant/oil checks ensures long-term efficiency.
Water chiller service from manufacturer
  1. All the chillers are provided with 12 months free maintenance service.
  2. Provide technical explanation, chiller debugging support, technical training and chiller maintenance guidance.
  3. If necessary, after-sales engineers can be on-site service confirmed by both parties through communication .In some areas, local dealers can provide fast and convenient service.
  4. Provide the air chiller and water chiller required parts quickly to ensure the normal use of customers.If necessary, part of the wearing parts can be provided for backup after confirmation by both parties.
